My Big Day with David Beckham

David Beckham and I shared the stage again this year to celebrate Big Days, like birthdays and anniversaries, for Marina Bay Sands’ select patrons and their plus ones. The night opened with a curated 4-course dinner of David’s favourite foods. 

Sharing a couch, it was like chatting with a friend about life.

Beckham spoke candidly about his 20th wedding anniversary with Victoria, parenting, his children and highlights from his time abroad as a footballer.

As guests enjoyed their food, my role as emcee was to tell the story and  inspiration behind each of the dishes that were served. These dishes brought back wonderful stories of David’s time learning to make Italian Cuisine from scratch as a culinary student, when he played football for AC Milan; his comfort food as a young boy; and the cake he had enjoyed on his recent birthday celebration with his family.

Guests also enjoyed a 1-1 photo session with the endearing football star, and autographed memorabilia giveaways for the excited Beckham fans.

I hosted the evening’s programme interchangeably in English and Mandarin.
